How do I provide the match video or live game details?

Post-match and live stream games – when checking out you will be prompted to provide the Match Details (Your Team, Opposition Name and Competition) and a Link to Match (a link to the stream or download a game). BarTV, QPlus, YouTube, Facebook, OneDrive etc are all suitable.

In Person Games – when checking out, provide the Match Details (Your Team, Opposition Name and Competition) and use the Link to Match to provide the game day details

What’s the difference between these Live Stats and traditional Post-Match Stats?

Unless you’re in the NRL or the Channel 9 QCup game, there are no services that offer live statistics, regardless of competition level. These stats are recorded for individual players, require external software and take 4-6 hours per game.

As explained on the About page, the Live Statistics provide you tackle-by-tackle details, on a level not previously available to most rugby league teams.

While our statistics are currently limited to a team level, I do intend to expand the service into Individual Post-Match Statistics (see Future Plans question below)

Where can I see an example of a Match Report?

Here is an example of an Advance Package report for a 2025 QLD Wheelchair Rugby League game.

How long does it take to record games and produce the outputs?

As I record in real time, a live dashboard is an available option for both In Person or Live Stream packages.

Match Summary and Charts (JPG format) can generally be provided within 30 minutes of completing the game

Detailed Report (PDF format) will be provided within the timeframes for each package as it depends on the level of analysis required.

What are the requirements for filming matches?

Games are best filmed from an elevated position, as close to the halfway line as possible.

A dedicated video camera on a tripod provides the best quality video

What’s included with the In Person packages?

An additional service to any Statistics Package where I attend your game and provide a real time analysis.

When recording the stats in person, I’m able to provide you with a separate laptop that displays a summary of the real time stats. At Half & Full Time, the summary can be useful for highlighting key stats to players.

If the game is live streamed, I also run a stream on the laptop for replays

What custom packages do you offer?

Use the Contact page to request a Custom Statistics Package, tailored to your specific needs or interests. For example:

Record additional statistics of your choosing
Provide additional charts or reporting on areas of your interest
Additional reporting on your entire season’s statistics, from the Master Statistics Spreadsheet
Video highlight packages for teams or players

What games do you have access to?

I have my own access to all BRL A, Reserve and U21 games and a QPlus subscription (at no extra cost to you). Generally, you will not need to provide links to these games.

Will you share our stats or reports with anyone else?

The Match Summary for each game will be shared on the RLSP Facebook page at facebook.com/rugbyleaguestatspro. No other data from your game will be shared either publicly or privately without your permission.

If two clubs purchase packages for the same game, both teams will receive the same raw data but I provide individualised analysis. In these cases, I will offer both teams a 50% discount on their next game.

What is the difference between Brisbane & Rest of SEQ?

For my attendance at live games, the locations are defined as:

Brisbane: Any competition covered by Rugby League Brisbane
Rest of SEQ: Any competition covered by Rugby League Ipswich, Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast

What are you future plans?

iPad App – I intend to develop my recording tool into an app that can be run on a personal device. This would allow team mangers all over the country to record their own team statistics each week.

Individual Post-Match Statistics – I’d also like to expend my services to cover these statistics. However, the time required for me to record and analyse this level of detail would likely be cost prohibitive for most clubs.

Why do you do this?

I have a passion for rugby league and providing insights that are usually unobtainable by most teams. This website allows me to achieve both, with the flexibility of not committing to one club and sharing my insights.
